ALUMINUM STEARATE is used to defoam water –
base mud.
Application
ALUMINUM STEARATE can be added by
sprinkling over the mud pits, or where a hydrocacbon oil may be tolerated as a
suspension of 2.3 to 4.5 kg (5 to 10lb) per 18.9 liter (5 gal)of oil.
ALUMINUM STEARATE is highly effective as a
defoamer at low concentration levels and has minimal effect on mud rheology.
Add ALUMINUM STEARATE as needed to control
foam in all water – base muds. Normally, 4.5 to 9.0 kg ( 10 to @ lb) per 15.9m3
(100bbl) will provide good defoaming result.
