LUB-LS is a liquid modified vegetable oils and emulsifiers used as a general borehole for use in water based drilling fluids. LUB-LS reduces friction between the drill pipe and casing, and between the drill pipe borehole wall. LUB-LS is biodegradable.
LUB-LS is also specially formulated to release differentially stuck pipe.
LUB-LS remains effective and stable up to 160oC.
APPLICATION:
LUB-LS is recommended for reducing torque and drag.
Improve lubricating qualities of water based fluids.
Free stuck pipe when added in proper concentrations.

Vegetable Oils: 82-85%
Surfactants: 5-6%
Emulsifiers: 7-8%
Glycerine: 5-6%
KOH: 0.2-0.5%

RECOMMENDED TREATMENT:
LUB-LS should be added directly to the mud system, via either the mixing hoper or the suction pit.
Depending on depth, inclination and length of the open hole, addition is 1-3% by volum of LUB-LS, through the hopper, should provide optimum friction reduction.
Maintenance level ± 1 kg/m3/day.
The most effective perfomance is obtained in a PH ranger between 8 – 9.5
